06/06 Meeting MinutesMeeting Date: June 13, 2006 For the email recipients I have added Hyperlinks to organizations that have them 59th Anniversary of the CFMA At this point the chair recognized the winners of the Invention Convention for Fire Ideas: A motion was made and seconded to suspend the meeting for breakfast. Passed President Murphy recalled the meeting at 9:15 AM President Murphy asked for a motion to accept the minutes of the May 2006 meeting. A motion was made and seconded. Passed Treasurer Francolini gave the following report: Checking Balance $6,109.05 Savings Total Association Assets $24,139.74 Correspondence: “None”
Committee Reports Board of Directors: No Report OSFM: Wayne Mahue reported that the Governor has signed several bills that affect Fire Marshals and John will be sending out a notice on this real soon. DEFBS: Wayne Mahue reported that as a group we should be looking at the regulations for Fire Marshals. If you have legislation for next season you can present it to his office.
OEDM: Sue Vaughn stated New NFIRS reference books are available and can be obtained through Jolynn, She would like to have the surveys returned to her ASAP. Bob Saucier will be retiring on the 30th of June. Good Luck Bob. Membership: Jolynn presented for 2nd reading: Special Hazard: No Report Conference Committee: Peter Phalen stated that they have gotten some good feedback so far and reported that the profit from the conference is approximately $5,000.00 Training: No Report “541” Committee: No Report Codes and Standards: No Report Legislative Committee: No Report NFPA: Robert Duvall thanked for the responses that he received on fireworks incidents. Please advise him of any that occur this year. Bob also noted that New Hampshire has passed “Fire Safe Cigarettes” into law ICC: No Report NEAFM: Pat Tourville reported on the September meeting. A Motion was made and seconded to pay for retirement plaques. A motion was made and seconded to send the request for the Lisa McCabe Fund to the Board of Directors. Passed. Good of the Association The president thanked Bruce Varga for his leadership in the organization. She also wished Bob Saucier well on his retirement. A motion was made and seconded to send the President or his representative and a quest to the retirement party for Mary Galvin. Passed With no other business to come before the Association a motion was made and seconded to adjourn the meeting.
