59th Anniversary of the CFMA
President Megan McCarthy Murphy called the November meeting of the Association to order with a salute to the flag at 9:00 AM November 14, 2006.

Due to Secretary O’Hare’s Absence form the October Meeting there were no Minutes from that meeting.

Treasurer Francolini gave the following report:

Committee Reports

Board of Directors: No Report

OSFM: Wayne Mahue reported that Terry Brower is taking the work of the NFPA 1 committee and putting it into a formal document.

OEDM: Sue Vaughn stated 40 candidates graduated from the 38th pre-certification class. The Spring Class has 31 applicants. Sue spoke of the shortage of clerical help in the office, and the Joint CFMA CBOA Conference. She also stated that the Spring 07 training schedule is about to come out as well as an index for the Code Books.

Motion made and seconded to move to Old Business. Passed

Special Hazard: No Report

Conference Committee:  Pat Tourville stated the next conference will be held in Waterbury on April 16 and April 17, 2007. A deposit for the Hotel in the amount of $2,500 is needed.

Training: No Report

“541” Committee: Jim Doherty reported that the next meeting was 11/15/06

Codes and Standards: No Report

Legislative Committee: No Report

NFPA: No report

ICC: No Report

NEAFM: No Report

Old Business

Motion to accept applications of:

A motion was made and seconded to accept the application. Passed

New Business

A motion was made and seconded pay the $2,500 deposit for the Hotel for the Spring Conference.

With no other business to come before the Association a motion was made and seconded to adjourn the meeting. Passed 09:30 AM
